I’m just a DC resident who has been trying to get Pepco to provide an actual, verifiable meter reading since I filed a consumer complaint with the DC Public Service Commission in October 2024. To be more precise for:
Somebody should have warned me that “because Pepco said so” trumps the rule of law and the laws of physics. But if they had, I probably never would have uncovered the real reason for skyrocketing Pepco bills.
In May 2026, I started following the money. I don’t know how long it will take to unravel everything, so I’m going to try a different approach. I’m going to post stuff here as I learn it. At least that way there’s a public record of events.
***** I’m mid-update so please excuse any glitches and incomplete narratives as I transition to a blog style format. Helpful suggestions welcome, please be kind. I’m just one person, trying to make the world a better place. ******
I created this website because Another massive If the DC government cared about skyrocketing Pepco bills
The Commission and its internal office known as the “Office of the People’s Counsel” refuse to enforce the Utility Consumer Bill of Rights, 15 DCMR § 300 et seq. and subjected me to three rounds of abuse in the Commission’s futile consumer complaint process.
They were secretly protecting Pepco the entire time. Everybody but me, the customer, knew the Commission was never going to hold a formal hearing. When I refused to give up, the Commission’s Hearing Officer ordered me to rely on my attorneys at the Office of the People’s Counsel and banned me from advocating on my own behalf. Then OPC colluded with Pepco to sandbag my case.
I will never waive my right to an accurate Pepco bill based on a verifiable meter reading and it will only get worse if We the People don’t Take the Power Back!
- The Exelon Ultimatum – Take TwoThis was my homepage for the last two months. I can’t believe Councilmember Charles Allen and Attorney General Brian Schwalb are still ghosting me. They are personally responsible for skyrocketing Pepco bills. No help is coming. The DC government is raking in millions while it allows billions to be funneled to Exelon. I’m a DC… Read more: The Exelon Ultimatum – Take Two
- The Original Exelon UltimatumThis was the original Exelon Ultimatum I drafted in connection with my testimony at the DC Council Oversight Hearing on February 27, 2026. Unfortunately, Councilmember Charles Allen (Ward 6) would rather Overlook the truth than provide meaningful Oversight of the DC Public Pepco Service Commission and the Office of the People’s Pepco’s Counsel. I publicly… Read more: The Original Exelon Ultimatum
- Pepco’s NEM Contract Solar Credit Billing FraudThe Chairman of the DC Public Service Commission (Chairman Emile C. Thompson) was unable to answer Councilmember Charles Allen’s question about Pepco’s payment of solar credits annually in December when he testified at the DC Council Oversight Hearing on March 5, 2026. Here is the answer I posted on the Twitter/X account I created specifically… Read more: Pepco’s NEM Contract Solar Credit Billing Fraud
- Pepco Will Never Get Caught, the DC Council Is Too Easily BoughtOn February 27, 2026, I testified at the DC Council’s Performance Oversight Overlook Hearing. Councilmember Charles Allen is the new chairman of the Committee, so I was hopeful the DC Council would investigate Pepco’s falsification of my meter readings and the DC Public Service Commission’s refusal to hold a Formal Hearing. Councilmember Charles Allen promised… Read more: Pepco Will Never Get Caught, the DC Council Is Too Easily Bought
- The March 19, 2026, Race to Salvage the CaseOn March 9, 2026, the DC Public Service Commission’s Hearing Officer, Mr. Noel Antonio, dismissed the Formal Hearing Complaint I submitted to the Commission on February 21, 2025. That meant I had only ten days to salvage my 18 month battle for an accurate Pepco bill based on an verifiable meter reading. Once again, my… Read more: The March 19, 2026, Race to Salvage the Case
